Northtowns Soccer Club – January 11th, 2007

 

 

Attendence:  Jerry Sullivan, Glenn Dolata, Frank Huber, Phil Bova, David McMaster, Don Gunderson, Jane Wilson, Andy Constantino, Ken Belote, Jim Pokoj, and others per sign in sheet.

 

Meeting called to order at 8:34pm  by Jerry Sullivan.

 

First order of business was approval of December 2006 meeting minutes.

 

Treasurers Report:  Don Rogers provided a summary of the bank accounts and transactions via an Excel spreadsheet.  All bills paid to date.  Total balance is $71,584 between the checking and savings account. 

 

Fundraising:        Frank Huber and Phil Bova provided a summary of several new fundraising initiatives as follows:

 

·         Brick sale program is moving forward.  Bricks can be purchased online at a cost of $125.00 or $250.00.  Cost to club per brick is $25.00.  Details can be found on the Club web site. 

·         Fuddruckers night – The restaurant will donate 15% of all sales on Saturday, January 13th to the Club.

·         H&R Block – coupons can be purchased at Sportsplex, and anyone presenting to H&R Block will result in a $25.00 donation to the Club.

·         Chinese Auction tickets can be purchased at Sportsplex beginning 1/13/07.

 

House Report:  Frank reported that 380 kids are registered for the winter session.  Ken Belote has organized trainers for the session.

 

Travel Report:  Glenn Dolata reported the following:

 

·         Challenger camps are scheduled for the week of June 25th, 2007.  Travel players will participate in a morning camp, and house players in the afternoon.  The cost is $100.00.

·         All coaches are reminded to complete the “Coach’s Pledge” form on the BWNY web site.

·         Dual carded reporting is required to be completed on the BWNY site.  Cap of 5 players per team.

·         The State Cup will be held in Rochester on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

·         Coach’s were reminded that unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated .  Also, coach’s are required to communicate this message to the parents. 

·         Glenn reported that Northtowns was ranked #1 in the BWNY power rankings for the previous year.  This up from 4th the prior year, and is a testament to the success of the Club. 

 

Old Business:  Nothing reported.

New Business: Continued work on the By-Laws is required.
