- Travel team links look great (found on NorthtownsSoccer.org web-site); all editing and updates are being done by coaches; pictures still need to be sent to Frank to be posted on the sites.
- Travel uniforms are back to being centralized through Frank; new styles are on the way, but the “old” style will be used up first; Colors will remain the same for all Northtowns teams.
- If numbers have to be ironed on any shirts, please call Sportsplex before arriving and we are most certain that someone will be there to assist you.
Travel Report: Glenn Dolata reporting:
- Congratulations goes out to all the Northtowns travel teams that won Championships- (see web-site for listing of all teams) - Great Job!
- Coaches please remember to print out the new rules and bi-laws for the 2008 season- There will be no acceptable excuses for not knowing the rules and regulations!- all have been warned- Any ?’S, please see Glenn.
Important:
-Any conflicts with Northtowns teams playing each other may result in disciplinary action- For example: a team may be placed at another sports center to resolve any issues.

* See Glenn with any?’s about placement of teams- i.e. - A, B, C, D . . . etc.
Travel News:
- 1 team in Upstate league will be playing in the upper league.
-
Upsetting news:
-Glenn has been swamped with un-pleasant phone calls and e-mails from Northtowns Teams- Our teams are having a difficult time playing against one another- There needs to be better sportsmanship on everyone’s part! – Remember: Do what is best for the kids- Put animosity aside! – Your team can be, and will be, asked to move to another place to play! – Please send and go to Glenn with ONLY solid points.
- Coaching courses are not available to be taken at Sportsplex until April or May- Level E is being held at Kenmore West in February- beginning Thursday the 28th until Saturday- More information to follow!
Per Ken Belote:-
- Trainer lists have been updated and are ready for distribution- Vouchers are also available- Apologies were sent for missing last months meeting.
- Ken sent an e-mail around to coaches about taking a coaching class- He has found that the weekend the class is being offered is tough due to tournaments- More information will be forthcoming.
Trainer- Shane M. is not being used anymore.
Fundraising:
- Beer Blast earned $1,600.00. – Julie not available for comment, although Frank did state that all had a good time.
- AIM tournament- any teams wanting to fundraise during that weekend should see Jerry.
Old Business:
None
New Business:
Per Jerry-
- Rash things said are much better left unsaid!
- Move forward.
- The best competition (between soccer teams) is played, most of the time, inter- club!
- Stay away from sour competition.
-Coaches please make sure to use vouchers- Jerry will find the best possible trainers. –Travel teams are doing very well- House league players are showing much improvement- Snoopy teams are great preparation for the travel league.
- We can only get better! – 7 or 8 years ago the club was in the pits- We are finally back to where we should be!
- Keep in mind- we have to work together. Communication between coaches is very important – Talking eliminates problems. Recruitment behind the backs of your fellow coaches is wrong and unacceptable, and will not be tolerated.
Field situation-
Still the same!
-still waiting on word from Wheatfield and Pendleton.
Meeting Adjourned: 8:15 PM
Respectfully submitted: Dawn Miller- (filling in for Bill Weitz, Recording Secretary)
