Meeting called to order at
7:36
PM by Jerry Sullivan.
Reading of the meeting minutes: The recording secretary was not at the
January meeting, there were no meeting minutes generated from that meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: Don Rogers presented his monthly report. Total checking and savings account balance for
January 2006 - $42,790.18 and for February 2006 - $37,562.94. Deposits are made and bills are paid. Treasurer’s report accepted. Copies of the reports are in the meeting
minute archives.
Travel Report: Glenn Dolata reported the following:
- A reported 16 – 17 teams are registered.
- Team coaches must complete the coaches pledge and
to get it done.
- A youth module maybe in May. A coaches D & E course may be at the
Kenan Center with further details coming.
- The 2006 Coaches Handbook was handed out at the
meeting.
House Report: Frank Huber reported the following:
- Flyers for the summer session have been sent out
to area schools.
- Frank and Glenn met with Carubba Collision
regarding a $2500 sponsorship. A
Tim Horton’s sponsorship was also obtained with jerseys to be provided to
all U-6 club players.
- Phil Bova will be running the June 10 Chicken
Barbecue and will be looking for help.
- The same photographer will be used again with
pictures to be taken either the 2nd or 3rd week.
- On-line registration is up and working.
Fundraising:
- Todd Lee reported three possible ideas for club
fundraising. Information was handed
out and is attached to the archives copy of the minutes.
- Phil Bova will be looking for help with the
Chicken Barbecue. He will be
putting a needs list together i.e. tables and chairs, advertising, health
dept. requirements, etc.
- Guest speakers spoke of a money generation
opportunity through ACN phone service provider whereby a % of the bills
generates a residual income monthly to the club. Information was handed out and is
attached to the archives copy of the minutes.
Old Business: None.
New Business:
- Glenn – the Challenger Soccer Camp is booked for
June 26 – 30.
- Frank – NY West registration fees are going from
$7 to $7.50. Investigating other
cost savings.
- March 25 – Knights of Columbus on Grand Island will be having a spaghetti fundraiser.
