Meeting called to order at
8:40
PM by Frank Huber.
Reading of the May 11, 2006 meeting minutes. Meeting minutes accepted.
Treasurer’s Report: Don Rogers presented his monthly report. Total checking and savings account balance for
June 2006 - $82,926.67. Deposits are made and bills are paid. Treasurer’s report accepted. Copy of the report is in the meeting minutes
archives.
Travel Report: Glenn Dolata reported the following:
- 8 or 9 teams have registered for the Odenbach
Tournament – larger tournament then last year.
- Those individuals interested in Glenn’s many club
obligations, which he is relinquishing due to other important family and
work obligations, i.e. trainer coordinator, travel coordinator, field manager, etc. are referred to the website. Check the pay rates.
- Glenn indicated that the U-12 teams are
performing very well due to the extensive training provided and committed
coaches.
- Field striping is very important because of heavy
use in the beginning of the week.
- Advance travel payments can be paid on-line or
make payments to Frank Huber. The
re was discussion regarding such advance payments, which was tabled until
a later meeting.
House Report: Frank Huber reported the following:
- The summer program is capped at 848 players,
which are 100 more than last year.
- Goalie training (2 hour program) provided at no
cost, Saturdays – 6/3 & 6/10, by Carmen DeRosa, UB men’s soccer goalie
coach, has been successful.
Picture Opportunity: Dave Candlena
introduced “The Picture Man”, who provides digital photography and lab services
for sports teams. Product samples and
pricing information was passed around.
The company‘s service is readily available to serve the Club’s picture
needs. Their website is under
development.
June 10 Chicken
Barbecue: Phil Bova indicated 229
pre-ale tickets have been sold. Phil is
projecting making $1,600 or an estimated $5 per dinner. Increased profits could be realized with more
donated items. Much help will be needed
during the day and cleanup.
Old Business: None.
New Business: Frank Huber indicated that there is a good
opportunity for 20 acres of land located in the Town of Cambria – more details to follow at future meetings.
