NORTHTOWNS SOCCER CLUB – June 12, 2008 meeting minutes

 

Board Members present: Jerry Sullivan, Glenn Dolata, Frank Huber, Don Rogers, and Bill Weitz.

 

Meeting called to order at 8:37 pm by Jerry Sullivan. 

 

Meeting Minutes: The reading of the May 8 meeting minutes were dispensed with and the minutes were accepted as written.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Don Rogers presented his monthly report.  Total checking and savings account balance as of the June meeting is $139,206.38.   As usual all bills have been paid and deposits made.  Treasurer’s report accepted. 

 

House Report:  Frank Huber reported the following:

 

  • Summer House Program registration is completed with the largest number of players of all times at 916.
  • Teams will have access to trainers three times this season.

 

Travel Report:  Glenn Dolata and Frank Huber reported the following:

 

  • U-10 coaches, there is no need to run up scores.  Remember team sportsmanship.
  • Patches are available for $1 each for teams going to tournaments.
  • Glenn has the key for Gersh field, pickup at his house (151 7th Avenue, NT) and drop back off in mail box.
  • Paint machine, please keep clean and report machine problems ASAP.
  • Frank reported that there are still some team players that owe money.
  • Frank indicated that teams can post information about themselves on the website.

 

Fundraising:

 

  • Phil Bova provided his report on the Chicken BBQ.  420 dinners served (100 more dinners were served then last year) for a total profit of $2263 (compared to an $1800 profit last year).  Phil thanked those who helped and Phil, we thank you for a job well done as usual!!
  • The Golf Outing at Deerwood will be on a Sunday, August 24.   Glenn again emphasized the importance for teams to be actively supporting this outing.

 

 

Fun Time:  See website regarding Family Day at Darien Lake.  Dave DeFrank had flyers on the outing at the meeting.

 

New Business:  No new business.

 

Field Status:  No changes to report.
