Attendance:
Board Members present: Jerry Sullivan, Frank Huber, Glenn Dolata, Don Rogers, and Bill Weitz
Club Members present: Sue COLAO, Pat Glick, Cindy Smith, Jim Gentzke, Jane Wilson, Don Gunderson, Eric Wilson, Ken Belote, Andy Constantino, John Lysek.
Meeting called to order at 8:43 PM by Jerry Sullivan.
Meeting Minutes: The reading of the June 14, 2007 meeting minutes was dispensed with and the minutes were accepted as written.
Treasurer’s Report: Don Rogers presented his monthly report. Total checking and savings account balance for July is $129,871.36. As usual all bills have been paid and deposits made. Treasurer’s report accepted. A hard copy of the report is in the meeting minutes archives.
House Report: Frank Huber reported the following:
· The summer house program is entering its second half of the season and all is good. Now accepting indoor registrations to begin in mid-October.
· There will be no Just for Kicks Program this fall.
· Looking into an outdoor goalie training program.
· August 18 is the travel and summer house program picnic @ Fairmount Park.
· Any requests for travel uniforms should be done on-line through the web site, which will be forwarded to Andy Constantino for handling.
· Travel tryout registration is on-line with tryouts on August 4th and 11th.
· Lottery winners are on the web site.
Travel Report: Glenn Dolata reported the following:
· The Middle School fields are in rough condition and e-mails have been sent out regarding same. No one should be calling the Board of Education regarding field conditions. Extensive ground repairs were made before the season to improve field conditions and additional work will be performed after the completion of travel and house use. The nets will be taken down at the close of the house and travel season to minimize further damage to the fields and equipment.
· A big expense has been spent on coaches shirts and it is important to see the coaching staff wear such clothing to their games to support their Club.
· Reportedly this year has been bad regarding the conduct of parents at games. Please control the parents conduct at the games.
· Mr. Sullivan emphasized that the players should be properly attired at their games in the required provided Club uniforms.
Fundraising:
· There will be no pig roast this year.
· Glenn reminded everyone regarding the August 25 golf outing and he is looking for team foursomes and contributions.
· Frank indicated that there may be a “beer blast” at Caputi’s on Sheridan in August – further details to follow.
Old Business: None.
New Business:
· Field Project – The Pendleton land site is deemed wetlands by the DEC so this is no longer a viable location. The Club is open to any land opportunities for future Club field consideration.
· Ken Belote commended Glenn Dolata for the coordination and success of the British Soccer Camp, which had 100 players, and is growing every year.
